WamGate instructions (http://www.wamgate.com)
If your service bureau is already on the Wam!Net network, they won't need to follow the directions below. However, if they are not a member of Wam!Net, below you will find instructions that can be used to talk someone through using Wam!Net's Internet Gateway. The Internet Gateway is a way for customers or vendors with internet access to transmit files to locations that have the full-blown service, such as USA WEEKEND:
- All files must be stuffed or zipped.
- Log onto http://gateway.wamnet.com/
- Log in to the internet gateway - Our user name is: WEEKEND. Our password
is: GUEST (ALL CAPS). Mode should be set to secure. Click on Submit.
- Under the "Send" tab at the top right, select "Create Package"
- The first step is to attach the file by clicking the "Browse" button and
navigating to the zipped/stuffed file that you wish to send.
- The next step is to give us some information about the transmission by putting
the insertion date in the "Job ID" field and the advertiser in the "Client
ID" field.
- Click on "SUBMIT JOB".
- That's it!
All advertisers should follow up the digital transmission with 2 color proofs sent using "analog" overnight delivery.
